media140 is a vibrant global organisation that educates and inspires forward thinking professionals on future trends in social and digital technologies.
We are a dynamic collective of individuals developing a collaborative platform for organisations through workshops and conferences that are design to help people share, innovate and learn. People and our community are central to everything we do. We bring together exciting, influential and progressive thinkers, to create immersive experiences with an emphasis on the practical and strategic applications of social and digital technologies.
We strive to be the best in our field by bringing together recognised industry professionals who have built their own successful businesses to support our events and leveraging our speaker network to deliver value. We deliver immersive experiences with an emphasis on practical and strategic advice to help organisations and individuals develop more effective communication strategies.
Founded in December 2008 by Andrew Gregson originally as a one off event to fund a 250k (yes, that’s 250 kilometres!) charity race across the Sahara. media140 has grown very quickly and successfully hosted over 26 global events in London, Barcelona, Perugia, Vienna, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Canberra with over 600 speakers and 6000 participants.

Philanthropy is a core media140 philosophy and we always donate a percentage of our ticket sales from each conference to a charity local to its region. Charities we have supported include: Mencap, Big Issue, Telethon and DEC. |
Who are media140?
media140 is a group of highly respected and well-networked individuals who link together our peers to have real and productive discussions about the evolving world we work in. Our network of associates are fluent in over five european languages and are respected practitioners and commentators in all aspects of technology and engagement in our social, political and economic lives. Through our global network we help organisations understand the practical application of technology to benefit them for tomorrow.
