We’re really excited to announce a new series of events in Sydney starting off in March 2013. Hosted at The Oxford Hotel in Darlinghurst, we’ll be exploring a diverse set of themes across the digital media, technology, journalism, politics, mobile and social media.


Big Data Week is pleased to announce new dates for the 2013 week long festival. We’ll be kicking off on the 22nd April 2013 and running until the 28th April with a mixture of meetups, network events, hackathons and other fun data stuff. This year Big Data Week has partnered with media140 Worldwide, the global events community platform, to produce and co-ordinate the week long festival of activities and events.


In April 2011 we successfully produced our first ever event looking at the use of digital and social technologies in science communication hosted at the Brisbane Powerhouse. A year on we have again partnered with the Australian Government Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education to launch a new digital science event – sciencerewired.


For those of you who missed or were unable to attend the DigitalBusiness event we recently hosted in Perth, Australia – we have picked out a few of the keynotes from the opening event on the 26th April in this post. We’ve also collated the majority of the speaker slides from across the three days, and if we’re missing one you particularly wanted to see – please let us know!


For those of you who were lucky enough to make it to Perth, Australia for our recent three day digital event you would have noticed the LivePad41 team requesting you to tag your tweets with #lp41 or send an SMS with a few thoughts about the event.


We’re heading back to Perth in Western Australia in April to partner with the City of Perth and The West Australian to host a unique three day digital event: the first of its kind in Perth. We’ll be exploring three big themes DigitalBusiness, DigitalMe and DigitalFamily over the 26th, 27th and 28th April.
