Working in collaboration with RedFront, media140 launched a new crowd sourced ‘unethical web‘ project at our event on the 15th September at the Royal Society of Arts.

The crowd sourced project is being used to curate examples of unethical practises on the web in the fields of business, journalism, politics, education and advertising. We are asking the media140 community to help to contribute to the Tumblr in sourcing as many examples as possible.

As a launch pad for the project the event brought together three speakers, a journalist, a PR and political communications specialist and a lawyer; each presenting examples and case studies on aspects of unethical practices on the social web.

We have also pulled out the best conversations from the event on Twitter using Storify at http://storify.com/redfront/unethical-web

Images from the event were kindly taken by Iain Weir – you can see the entire collection on our Flickr group. And thanks to the team at Audioboo for providing such a neat app for capturing audio!
