Big Data Week is one of the most unique global platforms of interconnected community events focusing on the social, political, technological and commercial impacts of Big Data. It brings together a global community of data scientists, data technologies, data visualisers and data businesses spanning six major commercial, financial, social and technological sectors.

The 2013 festival ran from 22-28 April across 27 Cities, hosting over 190 events and attracting over 20,000 participants globally.

The Big Data era cannot take off unless there is a ‘strategic convener’ to rally people, educate people and build a community of likeminded individuals. Big Data Week is the meeting point for the world’s data scientists to share experiences and shape the intellectual agenda for the industry.
