We’re really excited to announce a new series of events in Sydney. We’ll be exploring a diverse set of themes across the digital media, technology, journalism, politics, mobile and social media.

They use them in every part of their life; communication, connection, shop, information sourcing, entertainment, working etc. They have transformed they way people connect and live. They expect to be connected and spoken to directly by companies and brands.

Locational based services are also changing the way consumers share content, buy products and connect with their friends. Businesses need to embrace mobile to connect and engage with their customers.

This media140 event explores the effective ways to engage with consumers, and takes a look at the future direction of mobile technology for businesss.

Shane Williamson, Mobile MondaysShane Williamson   |   Co-Founder Mobile Monday

Shane has worked in both of the information technology and mobile industries in various technical, marketing, strategy and management roles.  Active in industry development, Shane is a mentor for the Mobile Enterprise Growth Alliance (MEGA) . MEGA is an annual event that assists Australian digital start-up companies by bringing corporate experience & industry education together, so that start-up companies can turn innovative ideas into real world businesses.

Shane is the co-founder of the Sydney chapter of Mobile Monday. Mobile Monday Sydney is a monthly mobile industry networking event that has been in operation since 2006.

She is on the Advisory Board for the Schools of Computer Science & Software Engineering and Information Systems & Technology at the University of Wollongong.
